When its owners launched Bootleggers Sports Bar & Karaoke Lounge just west of Whitehorn and Rundle in Horizon Industrial Park, they knew this northeast Calgary area needed a watering hole that offered more than beer and wings. Their vision was a comfortable, laid-back sports bar where people could watch a hockey game as well as enjoy some engaging entertainment and a delicious restaurant-quality meal, says marketing manager Steffi Heck.
On any given night — especially during hockey and football season — the bar stools are taken by regulars who've been coming for years. The jovial staff doesn't change much either. Come in once and they'll more than likely remember your drink order tomorrow. With its proximity to the Calgary International Airport and several hotels, wanderers and business travellers are also welcome to call Bootleggers home even just for a short stay.
“There's a little bit of something for everybody when you come here,” says Steffi.

Terrible service, waited 10 minutes to order wings and there was maybe 10 tables in the whole restaurant. Poo location, parking lot clearly unmarked as to where to park. Their caesars taste like watered down tomato juice and the wings were still bloody.
Every friday, some of my cooworkers go down to bootleggers for lunch. We really enjoy the atmosphere and the service. The owner and manager always greet our table and every once and a while buy us a shot! Its a good way to round out a day...also they have a few arcade games and some pool tables with VLT's to play as well!

Hands down the best wings in Calgary! Thursdays is all you can eat wings for $10 (per person) and 25 cents per wing on Sundays and Wednesdays. Service is a bit slow on these nights but the wings are worth it and it's a nice place to spend the night with friends.
This large sports bar in the city’s northeast features two pool tables conveniently located close to comfy, contemporary booths.
