Routes Car Rental

Stay away! I arrived with a prepaid voucher. They didn’t accept it and forced me to buy an extra insurance. More than that they charged me for out of province for the whole rental instead of 1 day (they have a tracking device - on the last day apparently I crossed the Alberta line). Finally - I brought the car a day earlier and they charged for an early return without any notice! I found it on the invoice they sent later via mail! I rent cars a lot - this is the worst experience I ever had.

I had a nightmare situation, and they were so awesome with me. They were compassionate, helpful and kind. I could write a book, but only have 350 more characters to use. I am a single working mom taking my 2 daughters on vacation. They saved our trip. I will forever be grateful! The Jeep was clean and solid too (not some cheap car with the bare minimums). I hugged them when we left (and I dont usually hug strangers), but they were awesome.

When picking up the vehicle, we inquired about how to handle the drop off, we were told that we could return it simply by dropping off the keys overnight, and that it would not be an issue as they didn't really need it until the next day. However, they didn't tell us that they would charge another full day rental. When we saw the extra charge on our invoice, and called the owner Baljeet to discuss it, he was extremely dismissive. A poor ending to a potential good rental experience.
