Unprofessional
We contacted Fence N Things to build a fence for us in our back yard. The guy came out, checked out our place, and gave us a quote. We agreed and he said the fence would be done in the next two weeks. He came out a couple days later and augured the holes in our back yard for the posts. Then that was it... A month later after several phone calls we finally got ahold of him again. He said that the soil was too shallow and there was bed rock there so he couldn't properly install the fence posts without the price skyrocketing. OK, fair enough, but why couldn't this be explained in a phone call when he found this out, not a month later when we had to contact him? And couldn't he have filled the holes again with the stuff he just augured out at the time? I guess it's better to leave the customer unknowingly waiting with holes in their lawn. The kicker is that our neighbours on each side have fences, one wood, the other chain link, all we wanted was chain link. If these guys don't want to build fences why do they have a fence building company?

First off, the customer was told of existing ground conditions in her alley! Along her alley in areas, bedrock is very high,one neighbour can have a fence and the next one cannot. An attempt was made on two holes with no success they were filled in and we left the site. A conversation with the customer the following day explained the situation and that I lacked the heavy equipment to do the job. She was advised to check into other avenues but they would probably be expensive. To this date no fence exists on the back property line.
