A Little Spa is based on a simple concept: clients are able to feel truly comfortable because there's never a rush and there's never a crowd. Owner Penny Jansen and manager Ronda White book appointments personally and keep flexible hours so that anyone can fit a relaxing visit into their schedule. Penny opened A Little Spa after moving to Maple Ridge from North Vancouver with 25 years of experience in the industry already under her belt.
Penny met Ronda while working as a part-time manager at Curves women's gym. At the time, Penny was splitting her time between managing Curves and managing A Little Spa and was looking for the perfect partner. "My best friend introduced us and said I was an esthetician," Ronda explains. "Neither one of us knew that Penny had bought the shop six months prior. She was pretty excited and asked me if I would come in for an interview. She basically handed me the keys within a week and I was working full-time."
