I am an owner of an older house and thus I am not new to hire contractors for repair and renovation. For the current issue of split/loosened door jamb, I have gone through at least 5 contractors with various quotes and prices. I am a bit shocked by the salesmanship of some contractors, trying to talk me into replacing the entire door and door frame, which would have costed me thousands of dollars.
