Lordco Parts Ltd. was incorporated in August 1974 by its two founding members, Roy Lord and Ed Coates. A simple combination of their surnames gave the company its name, and they hired one employee to help them in their modest 900 square foot store in Maple Ridge, B.C.From the beginning, the two shareholders agreed that success would only come through a diligent, common sense approach to selling automotive parts. Knowledgeable salespeople selling quality merchandise, backed by a commitment to service wouldn't create instant success, but would give them a fighting chance to make it in the long run.The formula would prove to be the right one. As the business gathered momentum, plans for the first expansion were developed. In 1976, a large site was purchased in Maple Ridge, and new, larger facilities were built. Today, it still houses the Corporate Head Office and Fleet Maintenance complex. Most of the staff at Lordco are Extremely RUDE!!!!!! Not all staff but most at this location... I was in there today, and I was wearing a mask as recommended by Public Health to do so in all public places. DON - an employee was rude, not wearing a mask TOLD ME (no polite ask from him) to stand back and he was the one not wearing a mask! I am the customer who was polite, wearing a mask AND only stepped forward to put my items on the counter and to ask a question and I was treated very poorly.
I don’t know what it is with place. It’s 50/50 you’ll get someone polite and interested in helping you. Heaven for bid you should forget you say you have an account before they start typing. I come there because of the expertise which they do have but can only deal with the grumpy, your an irritant to me attitude so many times. I also come there because I don’t know what I need and thats why I ask the counter staff. I give 2 stars because the good ones, generally the younger staff, are good.
great inventory, free parking. fast delivery from warehouse. Prices OK, Better than crappy tire. Good advice from partsman, and they even admit when they don't know..
