Fish and Chips Right on the Wharf

The overall feel to this place is very cool. Trekking down onto the wharf you get great service and really great fish and chips. The batter is light and crispy and they offer all the options for fish and chips. However, the purist in me always goes for the halibut and you get pretty decent sized portions considering the price. Check out Pajos next time you're wandering around Steveston!

The fish had so much batter and the chips wereso soggy, but nonetheless satisfied our fish and chips craving. Service: order and pick up, can't really go wrong. Cashier and staff were all polite and smiling. Didn't wait too long, about 10 min on Friday afternoon. Price: kinda high priced, almost $12 for just 1.5 pieces of fish and a handful of chips. ambiance: can't really beat a sunny afternoon down at Steveston!

Legendary Vancouver eateries with delicious specialities

Pajo's has been serving up their notorious fish and chips right on the docks of Steveston Village for 25 years. You really can’t beat the location; grab a seat on the waterfront patio and bite into a filet of crispy golden fried fish while you listen to the water crashing underneath you and enjoy the smell of the ocean in the air. The seagulls too know that Pajo’s Fish n Chips are amazing and will not miss a chance to scoop in and steal some from you!

Affordable spots to drink and dine in Steveston

Affordable spots to drink and dine in Steveston

Pajos is synonymous with Steveston. In fact, their secret fish and chip recipe has been luring people to the southwest corner of Richmond since 1985. Indulging in fish and chips is a popular way to while away a sunny day beside the water. Steveston is home to two Pajo’s: the original wharf location is nestled in amongst the fishing boats while the Garry Point outpost is a lovely spot (only a short from the village) to eat and then stroll around the waterfront park.

Must-try fish and chips in Vancouver

Must-try fish and chips in Vancouver

Pajo’s is a must-try if you’re visiting the docks at Steveston. Served in traditional newspaper cones, the fish isn’t fancy, but it’s fresh; it doesn’t even make it off the docks before it’s in the fryer. Plus, the newspaper cones make it easy to walk around with your food. Bottomless chips are an added bonus, as well as the wide variety of sauces.
