Had buffet lunch today with my grandson, was very impressed,great staff and food at a very affordable price.

I personally been attending WEST GARDENS SINCE THE OPENING many years ago over 25 years ago and the Food and service has been outstanding. I have travelled there from an hour to sometimes 1 1/2 hours and introduced many many people to this wonderful establishment. Where can you get a great buffet at reasonable price and be able to sit at a table with friends or fellow employees and socialize or talk business and hear each other. HATS OFF to restaurant for survival of the time threw COVID.

Reviews are old..so I decided to set a updated one.We go for the buffet and its always good.Fairly priced and staff are pleasant.Bathrooms need work.Seats could be more comfortable but as far as the food goes no complaints.

very disappointed. chicken balls were not good and came like the picture below and we’re very dry. i called and complained and they did nothing but tell me i was wrong. will not be ordering from here again.

Best Chinese food in town (or one of the best at least)! Friendly staff, cheap price and freshly cooked. Was kind of dark since dine-in was closed and a tad stuffy, but didn’t stay inside for long since I did take out. Looking forward to dine-in when they open. Miss buffet food.

we lived up the street a few blocks away started going with our Granddaughters when they where 5 and 6 years old been going every chance we can IT has been 9 years and we still go our girls want to go there more than any other restaurant W e live 4 hrs away now but we still go when in town and take our girls best food great service

We thought we'd try this as a change from our usual Chinese take-out place. What a horrible mistake. The chow mein tasted burnt, the sweet and sout pork tasted part freezer burnt and part rotten. The chicken fried rice was decent but the deep fried shrimp was loaded with grease. I went to this place frequently as a younger person but I'm terribly disappointed at the quality now. We'll never order/go here again.

Worst buffet of my life. Terrible tasting food and worse presentation. Seriously, be warned of the food here, I am sure they need a health and safety update. I hope I don't get sick!

Good variety of food. Lots of fresh fruit. Icecream tubs were full for a change. Not enough icecream scoops. Have to use your own small spoon to get some. Waitress not very responsive to requests. She had to literally be followed half way across the room and approached before doing anything to be of assistance.

This Place Is The Worst!

I had read reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. I wish I had never gone in! First of all, the place was packed, I would only assume it was because of the price; for lunch, it was only $5.99 for the buffet. It was only myself so I was seated in the back corner at a small table that had stains on the glass. The floor was dirty, the napkin was stuck to the table, and the place looked like it hadn't been renovated in years. A server came to my table, very quick and abrupt, and gave me a glass of water, she didn't even introduce herself. It looked like she was the only server for the whole place. I went up to get my food; I have to admit, there is tons to choose from, but the quality of the food is BAD! Everything was cold, and the flavours of all of the food were bad. I have had Chinese food in many buffets before, this had to be one of the worst I have ever had. The lemon chicken was tasteless, the chicken balls were just big globs of flour mixed together, and the salad pieces were so big I couldn't even fit them in my mouth. The desserts were all processed, and there was no sushi which I was disappointed about. The only good thing was the french fries, only when they were hot. I was lucky enough to get them when they had just come out, and that was the only thing that I thoroughly enjoyed. The ice cream was so hard you couldn't even scoop it out of the container, I only got two small spoonfuls and sat down, I wasn't going to pull a muscle reaching for ice cream. As I was eating my french fries, there was a small portion left, and the server came to my table and took it away! I wasn't even done eating! I had to go up to the front to get my bill, it wasn't even brought to my table. As I was in line to pay, I heard a group of women in front of me telling the owner 'you know, the food could have been hotter' and the owner saying 'oh, I didn't know that, I will have to check it out'. As if she didn't know! Needless to say, despite the price, this place is awful and I will never return.

Go there once a month with my wife food never changes but at least I know what I'm getting and the foods fresh if u want fancy then pay 20 or more still this place is a number 1 in my books

Great food at a low price.

Any time we are in Brantford and feel like Chinese at an affordable price we go to West Gardens. They offer a great selection of all kinds both for lunch and dinner. We went there on Saturday. We were there about 10 minutes before opening and there was two groups in front of us and after we got started eating it did not take long before the place was full. They offer anything from scrimp cocktail to roast beef for dinner and all at an affordable price of $7.99. All three of ate for just over $30.00 including my beer and soft drinks. One thing I would suggest go there when they first open for lunch or dinner. When we were there the food was very tasty and lots of it and at that price it did not take long before we had to stand in line.
