I am Somali so I am familiar with the cuisine/types of food, I ordered the goat meat and was not impressed to find 70% of it was bones. When I complained to the server, he kinda just stared and said in Somali "So what should we do about this?" Everyone kinda laughed it off but I was pissed.
Anyways, the rice was pretty good. And since I dont like mango, I cant tell you if their "infamous" mango juice was any good.
I went on Eid so it was pretty busy but I have to say, after all this talk about Hamdi's, i was shocked to find out it was SO small! Me and my huge family trekked from the East all the way to the West to eat something my Hooyo (mom) could've made!
This is the reason you wont see alot of Somalis eating out @ Somali restaurants. You will find even better food in their homes!
Alhamdulillah this restaurant has great a halaal food. The service is not polished, but it is good. However, there needs to be a professional cleaning crew. The bathroom is Very dirty and the overall place is not cleaned properly. Otherwise, would recommned. Whoever said the rice was bland is way off. That is the best thing they have.
amazing amazing food. meat lovers heaven. we tried beef tnderloin steak, chicken steak and roasted goat with rice and fried veggies. a cooler size mango and the refill for mango is free. couldn't be better.everything was delicious. i wouldn't recomend the drumstick but other then that a must try.....
