These guys are great. Super fast. Very organized.
Make sure you go in first thing in the morning. It's first come, first served. When getting your winter tires put on... go no later then mid October. After that... the wait could be hours!!!
I own a set of HRE rims that cost me an arm, leg and maybe one or two other extremities. I have had them for awhile and they do have some imperfections (all caused by me). Regrettably while the technician was removing the old tire he let go of the handle on the machine and it ricocheted back and nicked my lip. As I was standing there I could not believe what I just saw. The damage the bar left was considerable in my opinion. It looked like someone had taken a small chunk out of the lip.
The technician was very apologetic and it was understandable he had just damaged my rim. I proceeded back to the front office to bring my issue to the attention of Richard he then got what I assume is the manager Dave. The overall attitude from the staff I was dealing with, I felt was lacking. They immediately took a position of “well the rim is not pristine…it already had some damage… so what”. I explained I understood what they were trying to say, however, damage I caused is my responsibility and this was not my fault I explained.
Dave asked if he sent the rim to Precision Tire Repair to be fixed would I be ok with that. I accepted his offer to have the rim fixed. I picked it up today and again in my opinion it looks like well you know what. There is still a dent and it seems like nothing was done. I brought it to the attention of Richard. Richards’s response was… “are you kidding me that’s nothing”. I simply thanked him for his time and left.
I am sure they have done right for a lot of people, however, for me they did not. And they will never get my business or anyone I know, business ever again. Everyone is entitled to the opinion and this is mine. I am not looking to spark a controversy here, just trying to get the information out. Use caution when dealing with Steelcase and if something does happen do not expect them to own up or do anything about it…
