waited over 20 min just to place my order. I ordered a platter and two pitchers for the table and later settled my bill. 5 min later the waitress came back Slammed down another bill and said we still owed for two pitchers. I told her I paid already just a few min ago. She screamed “ are you dilusional?” I asked her to go look at the I pad she placed the order with. I even said I would go onto my online banking to prove it. She told me I could leave after I paid and that I should learn how to pay
We have been patrons occasionally, definitely a hit and miss locale. Recently, last and more than likely final visit, wings were too large probably due to hormone injections, french fries were cold and hard, beer/caesars good. Service was okay, no table check completed whatsoever, bill requested..waitress while I was still counting money and deciding tip...was grabbing the money, when I asked her to wait...she completely ignored my request, and took money and left....Never again would I/we set foot in this place...
I wouldn't normally critique a wing and beer night, however the service has been steadily declining over our last few visits. Unfortunately it is hit and miss and it all depends on whose section you are sitting in. We constantly ran dry and when we did get beers our empties were left to grow old on our tables. When our order was finally taken the food came fast and was very good so kudos to the kitchen!
I'd always wanted to go here, after walking past it so many times during the Milton Farmer's Market.
So my friend and I decided to go on a Tuesday (I noticed their 2 for $8 pints deal) and I am so glad we did.
The beer selection is incredible for such a small place, the wings were incredible and the 70" tv with the Leafs preseason game made it even better. The patio is phenomenal, however it was a bit chilly when we went, but I am going back next summer to hang out for the day :-D
The only complaint (which is minor) was the lights were too bright inside. Not that I was looking for a dingy pub, but it just felt too bright. The London Pride also takes them forever to pour. Not sure if it was near the end of the cask, but expect to wait 10 minutes for the beer. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because nothing was the BEST EVER... as Restaurantica likes to state :-D
To hot to bbq tonight, 36.50 C now at 8:10pm. Wing Day at IVY, good enough for me. Cool inside and busy tonight, I order 15 wings med & 10 wings(no sauce)(take-out)for my pet racoon @ $0.55 each. had a pop/ice water $2.49. I don't know why MEN! complain about this small pub, I know it needs renovations/no-sexy girls here/drunks here on $3.25/bottle beer day/1 cook in kitchen-service is slow/fly's inside always landing on my wings-I complain but no-one cares. I STILL LIKE THIS SMALL PUB WITH ALL THESE FAULTS, AND GIVE IT 5 stars. STAFF HERE WORK HARD ON WING DAY-THAT IS WHY I LIKE THIS PLACE-WAITRESS(s)KNOWS ME AND ALWAYS GIVE 20% TIP BECAUSE SHE TRY'S..AND SHE IS A SINGLE MOTHER.

I was at Goodlife Fitness, did 45mins of cardio and 2 sets(10) crunches. Busy today so going to Ivy Arms. I order 25 chicken wings @ $0.55 each and 1 pop $2.49 + ice water. Took home 13 wings for my pet racoon, she should be up now. BEST WINGS FOR 1/2 the price.
Wing Day(Tues to Thursday) only $0.55 biggest in Milton. I order 20 wings so I can take some home for my pet. Did 35 min's run at Goodlife at 10am, Burn 320 cals- good for 10 wings at Ivy Arms. Always perfectly cooked here, also had a pop $2.49.
I was here June 17/2011 on urbanspoon(milton) that was my first time here. It's June,22/2011 on urbanspoon tonight. I'm GreekVera(Cat) the chicken wings are cooked perfect not over cooked(dried) and It's wing day $0.55 each wing. I had 20 wings and 2 big pops(thirsty I was). Saw the same lady tonight that served me June 17th..Gave her same $5 tip, nice freindly lady.
If your into watching football, there is always a following for major games. There is a mixed crowd of teen to mid aged to older people watching the games. You can get really into the game. Great way to relax on a sunday with some pints.
I go into this pub frequently. My husband and I always order pints, they have a million to choose from. We have had many of their entrees and apps.
We also like to visit in the day for their lunch menu and sit on the patio. The waitress is also friendly, and tells us about the specials. Last sunday we had the prime rib dinner and it was massive and delicious. Glad to find a good pub in our new town.
Went in with a group of friends on a saturday night and there was a LIVE BAND! It was a great surprise, and really fun. We had been in a few nights earlier for wings and we not expecting it. Band was really good, and crowd was fun.
Went in on a Tuesday Night with some friends for pints and beers. The wings were on special and import drafts. They have at least thirty beers on tap, plenty to choose from.
The waitress brought us our beers right away and took our wing order. The wings were massive and best I have had in years. The waitress was friendly and even poured our pitcher for us when she was busy! Great food and really good value.
I love this pub. I've been a few times, the service is always good and wings are excellent.
There is daily specials and always a good deal. The waitress was really nice, overall good experience.
Visited the Ivy with a group of seven people over the weekend. We were greeted by a very unpleasant security guard who, to be quite honest, looked like he hated his job. We were then shoved in and had to stand in the door way for ten minutes before we could make our way in. Fire hazard to say the least. I was finally able to find a waitress who worked there. When I told her politely that she should probably have the door way cleared, she mouthed off to me. I then asked to speak to the Manager and she told me she was the Manager. She was rude and it was enough for me and my entire group to leave. I had visitors from out of the country and I was trying to show them a good time but that was clearly not going to happen here. Terrible service and I will not be back.
We went for lunch...sat on the patio and were served within 5 minutes. Waitress was a bit slow, but I think she was waitressing the entire patio, so it's excusable.
Pub food is pub food...all the same deep fried foods. It's great how they have breakfast until 2pm however.
I would like to go back for maybe a beer and some appetizers, but the actual meals were nothing to brag about...same old I suppose!
Just be aware...the BBQ chicken wrap on the lunch menu is NOT the same as the BBQ chicken wrap on the main menu...big disappointment!!
I would go back to try the wings - but overall it was just a regular pub dinner - nothing exceptional - just ok.
It was nice to sit outside - but I cannot imagine people wanting to visit this place and sit indoors - the interiors are sooooo old and disgusting - The restaurant needs a make over -quick.
The Ceasars were on special that day and they were the best part of the experience.
Would love to say that we tried the food, but that's not the case.. We arrived on the Patio of this restaurant at 20:00 on Friday Sept 4th.
We sat for 25 minutes without evening being acknowledged that we were there by any staff member. Not even as much as offering a drink.
So we left at had dinner at another restaurant on main street where they actually take the time to
notice that you are there...
