No longer on my Thai list

We went to this restaurant when it first opened in Bronte and thought it was not too bad. We returned three or four times after that only to find the tastes not quite what they used to be. Well, last night, we thought we'd give it another chance. I must say that there could be problems seeing that three tables are covered in necklaces, bracelets and other junk jewellery and one table has baked good for sale. Very strange indeed. In any event, we sat at a table in the window. There was a lovely spider mum in a vase- bright yellow - it perked things up. Upon being asked about the 'heat' level' on a scale of 1 to 5 we chose 3 for all the dishes. The spicy basil with chicken is described as being 'laced with the aroma of basil'. There were some bits of basil in the dish and a large fresh sprig on top. The aroma of basil? It was nowhere to be found and there was no basil taste either. The chicken was not cooked with the vegetables, sauces and herbs. It was cooked separately and added later. No lovely Thai taste in the chicken - just dry lifeless pieces of breast. Very sad. Stir fry basil noodle chicken had noodles the size of lasagne noodles. This dish was better as far as the chicken was concerned but still, no basil taste or smell. And the panang? I did not have much but my wife said that the 'heat' was not added during cooking but was sprinkled on at the end. We had a 500 mL carafe of Jackson Triggs sauvignon blanc. It was $15 which is very good when compared to many other restaurants. Service was great.. However, the atmosphere was one of a bazaar with all the trinkets for sale on tables throughout the dining room. So, we gave it a last try. Too bad it failed to meet our standards because it is only a ten minute walk from our house.

The atmosphere was nice. The service was great; very attentive. We were eating in the restaurant, and the other table had already been served when we ordered. I was a little disappointed in the food, since most of the food I got was of a worrisome temperature. Things like the chicken breast and pork on skewers were barely warm, and I was having troubles telling if the fresh vegetables were even cooked. Since I don't like to send food back, I didn't. Luckily I did not get sick. I emailed the company and they replied to me. Hopefully they will be more careful about food temperatures.

    Very Authentic Thai Foods

The foods here were very very good. Having stayed in Thailand for a couple of years, I have been falling in love with Thai foods and Thai sense did very great job on the authentic tastes. I have been here 3 times already and every time I've never been disappointed. I experienced excellent qualiy on its foods. Price was very reasonable and service was ok. Foods were quick. Also, I loved that they had cute Thai products for sale as well. Great job and surely I will be back again!
