Nothing Special

Just average dishes, a good place to go if your in a hurry and don't have time to look. Service was also average. Customers seemed to enjoy the experience.

Brazilian beaches

We went looking for Brazilian food and instead we found Mambo. The food that we shared combined a Mexican and mild-south western flavour in an overall medium class presentation. There is a limited selection and the variety within each category shows that you have to be in a mood for what they offer, or else... The wine selection has a nice global feel, and the specialty cocktail drinks are fun. The appetizers, 'Rollo del Pollo' *sp. came with a nice guacamole and a sweet salsa. The main course' Pato Loco' *sp featured a sliced duck breast in a tortilla with veggies. The duck was nicely prepared, but a small portion and without a 'gamey' feel that makes duck such a pleasure once in a while. The salad with candied Pear and walnuts was delicious. The salad with mozzarella and tomato featured a soft pesto sauce which was very light and yet fragrant, very nice. Overall, this is an expensive taste of Mexico, yet with the right crowd and provided there are other patrons when YOU visit, this could be a nice evening.

i had a very pleasant dinner at mambo, the food was well prepared and taste amazing. the staff was good and the price very reasonable. i would definitely go back and tell my collies about mambo..

A must try - You will return - TRUST me

I've been to Mambo a few times now and I can't wait untill the weather gets warmer so I can enjoy the rooftop . I have yet to be disappointed with the selection of food . My favorites are the Rollos de Pollo and the Camarones al Ajillo - both are delicious ! I really like the fun tone that Mambo offers on the weekend . Has always made for a great night ! At least it's something new and fresh with the latin flavor it offers.

Very good Lamb Rack

it is quiet difficult to find a good tasting plate of lamb as it is a difficult dish at times, but I tried over at mambo and it was quiet tasty. Enjoyed every bite and it was plated fantastically.

very nice nachos and service!

I was fresh off my flight and decided to hit the city. I was told by hotel staff this place was great and so I went by, I'm from Texas and I must say I love their nachos!... I was told the sangria is good and it sure was. I felt right at home and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Ill be back for salsa lessons on Thursday, is my new stopping place in Ottawa!

The decor of this place is amazing. Around 8pm with the sun setting outside it becomes the most romantic restaurant ever! Whoever decorated this place put a lot of effort and consistency, this matches with their tasty food. Had a great and memorable evening. Will be back shortly!

a pleasant restaurant

i kept hearing of their tasty sangria and this time i tried the food and it was delicious. the shrimp was succulent and the rice was authentic. great food to accompany a beautiful restaurant...

great friday night spot!

was there Friday night and it was no wonder it was busy... everyone was having a good time. it is to no surprise because with great food and a great ambiance like that, it is a given. enjoyed every inch of my nachos.. will be back, great space and attentive staff.

salsa night was awesome...

we heard of their salsa nights over at mambo... went with my partner and boy were we glad! the instructor was super fun and interactive. the mojitos were delish and the tapas were great. Happy hour is the best thing ever. will be back many more and anyone looking for a good time, try their salsa nights!

wow.. loved the rooftop...

I visited Mambo after many hear say about the restaurant. I must say their roof top patio took me by surprise. They have great deals and a delicious sangria. Staff was great and attentive at all times. We will be back but next time with more friends to enjoy another good time.
