Great food, great service, slightly questionable atmosphere
The food was great; my steak was cooked properly the first time and tasted amazing. The service was incredible; my glasses were never empty and were filled without the conversation being interrupted. I like that, come by the table, fill the glasses and don’t say anything, if someone at the table wants something they’ll speak up. The only thing I can criticize is the atmosphere, and I can hardly do that. The décor, furniture, and lighting is all very nicely done.
However, it was very busy during my particular visit. The tables felt like they were too close together and our dining neighbors were very loud. Particularly this one group of French people who were very close to us. Our dinner conversation consisted of many “Pardon(s)?”, “I’m sorry(s)?”, and “excuse me(s)?”I understand the restaurant has little to no control over the noise level but regardless it was very difficult to quietly interact with the people I was having a meal with.
Haven't been there in awhile but was there 2 days ago and YUM!!! Can't believe the size of the birthday cake that they gave me! Generous!! I was glad I had people to share it with as I would have burst if I'd eaten it myself!! The meal was mighty fine and the service was so good!!! The steak is always done to perfection and the table bread is delish! Love that place to bits!
Got last minute reservations and they were very accommodating for my 6 year old.
Amazing meal. French onion soup, Chicken Oscar with asparagus and mushrooms. Tender and very flavourful. They brought out a big piece of mocha chocolate mousse for the 3 of us to share, as it we were celebrating my sons birthday.
A little loud in the restaurant but a great evening overall.
