Kelsey's

My recent visit to this Kelseys was one of the best I have ever had- despite the fact I did not enjoy my meal! I ordered the thai shrimp curry bowl and the sauce and noodles werent what I expected. After eating the shrimp & veg the manager noticed I wasnt satisfied & offered to replace the meal, when I told him I was no longer hungry he comped the entire thing! Really defined 'above and beyond' in customer service for me, cannot wait to return.

Good Experience

The restaurant has curb appeal and we were greeted promptly upon entering. We opted to eat on the patio which is has a Mediterranean terrace look with potted shrubs, umbrellas, wrought iron and overhead trellises. The patio was pleasant and unlike other restaurants, it was not taken up by smokers given there was a "smoking" versus "non-smoking" section. Service was quick, and our food was good. Restrooms are on the main level. There is plenty of parking for the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant has a bar section separate from the dining areas. Inside, the atmosphere has the feel of a study with dark wood, and stained glass. Many diners were here this Saturday evening and there was a definite noise factor from the din of the crowd. The patio was more pleasant in this respect.

Very Satisfied

We were seated in the bar area because it was busy but that wasn't an issue for us. The waiter came over right away and had our drinks to us immediately. We ordered and only waited maybe 5-10 minutes before we were served our meals....very fast which was great because we were pretty hungry! We weren't bugged like some of the others said, only when our server noticed our drinks low and our meals done. The food was perfectly cooked, lots of flavor and portion sizes were very large definitely worth the money.

It was great!! the soup was one of the best I've tasted at a restaurant, salad portions were HUGE on both salads. The Chicken Sonoma Salad was UNBELIEVABLE! what an amazing mix of textures and flavors with everything from pumpkin seeds, cashews, red peppers and feta cheese. Balsamic Chicken was great - very tender and tasty. The broccoli side dish looked a little bit sad but tasted fine. Apple crumble was fabulous as well as the cake :) definitely an experience to repeat :)

We go to this Kelsey's often. The food is good...the only complaint I have is that the portions of chicken are sometimes small. Service is normally very good, we have had great experiences with every female server we've had there. The times where we weren't happy with service have mostly been with the male servers.

Kelsey's has decided that it would be fun to seat...

Kelsey's has decided that it would be fun to seat dinner customers in the bar area. Too bad the bartender/server doesn't appreciate the new seating arrangements. We weren't the only customers seated there, as there was another couple - oh, and the table of loud ladies by the bar with whom our server preferred to chat. We definitely felt as if we were an imposition, as we were rarely acknowledged by the fellow. Until he dropped off the bill that is, and then returned within a minute to confirm how we were paying. It's always nice to be rushed out of a restaurant on a night without a line-up. Their food is always good, shame that each time we dine at Kelsey's, there's always an issue with the service.

I love Kelseys menu, so I eat at Kelseys often. This was my first time at the Glendale location and I was very happy with the service and the food. It's still one of my favorite casual restaurants.

The food is typical Kelsey food, always tastes great when you eventually get it. Terrible, TERRIBLE service the few times I've been. Always slow, not very attentive and slightly rude. Takes forever to even get drinks when going simply for that. Definately not worth the trip!

One person in my party that had the pizza asked...

One person in my party that had the pizza asked for the vegetables to be cut small. When it came the vegetables were not small, but large chunks. She also requested no peppers, as she has an allergy and subsequently had an anaphlyatic attack as the dish must have had some form of pepper in it, and it was not written on the menu. I think a simple request from any service staff if it had pepper in it, should have been either yes, no, or we can take it out for you. Not no, and oh sorry we forgot to take it out. My food was tasteless, and the service was extremely slow. I will not go back there if I was paid.
