I had a wonderful server, she was polite, and knew how to add that little something to make my day. The best server is Hailey. She was prompt with bring out the food and drinks. With out being to prying she discovered that I was down about spending my birthday alone. She gathered her team mates and sang me happy birthday. Now I am not saying everyone likes to be sang to on their day; but Haily knew what to do. I am a big fan of East Side Merios.
First order came burnt. Second order was no better, the chicken was hard and stringy like it was freezer burnt, undercooked, or something. Either way it was inedible. The owner came to us, and while I was speaking she had begun walking away.
WILL NOT REVISIT.
Great food, will go there again, thats all i can say. Was there with my dad in the back for a buiness meeting...
I had been there about 5 or 6 years ago with my cousins from australia and loved the food, just too much bread!
Pros - Salad was fresh
Cons - Mass produced crap, pastas all taste the same with different sauces, service poor, enough with the singing birthday thing....for gosh sakes!!
Was there on Sunday with a large group. Beng that we had a large group expectation is that everything comes at once and not always too quick.
Our server was great, she was attentive and overall it was a good experience.

This is a big restaurant and they cook everything in a mass production; there! you lose authenticity and quality of food. The food we ate was an average nothing special, and my Atlantic salmon was very dry, did not enjoy it at all. The table we had was not cleaned properly enough….
Pasta seriously overcooked - I wasn't able to wrap it around my fork as it just kept breaking into little pieces.
The lettuce was a little droopy...
I am sure I will return again - it's East Side Marios, for some reason you always go back.
I always get the same thing every time i go there, it comes down to how well they can cook it and the service. The service has always been mediocre, never great, and never really unbearable.
This meal was alright once again chicken was cooked well, the potatoes were a little too greasy, but still good.

We came in at a pretty busy time and did not have a reservation, but the hostess kindly told us they could have a table ready for 10 if we could wait 15 minutes. We waited 15 mintues and our table was ready. The resturant was packed! and its apparently the worlds largest ESM.. this is a popular place. It was pretty loud, but everyone was having a good time and we were offered as much bread, soup and salad as we wanted, and the waitress was awesome. Althoguht I could tell she was serving 3 or 4 other tables, one other larger one as well, she was still attentative to our needs, checked on us, refilled our drinks, etc. Food came out hot and well prepared, only took about 25 mintues,, great considering the size of our party and the busyness of the night. Will definately go back..probably jsut make a reservation next time to ensure minimal wait time.
The food was excellent, except that they put pepper corns in it after asking not to. Service was fast and friendly, except that all the food came at once. The bills were totally messed up, but instead of confuse the poor man, we figured it out and didn't say a thing. The waiter said it was a slower than usual night. I would hate to see a busy night. Other visits have been great and I would definitely go back.
I dont know why everyone is knocking the bar. Janine (our server) is one of the senior staff members there and she treated everyone with the utmost respect. The food was hot and delicious. From a guy who is at Eastsides all the time maybe you should try it more then once and try something new. Overall good atmosphere it does get busy but being a consumer you have to realize that the servers are dealing with alot of different behind the scene stuff and give people some slack.
The service was terrible at this location. The woman's washroon did not have a working sink. The food vas very good except that the Spinach & Ricotta Milanese was cold. Too bad because it was a tasty dish. We will NEVER return to this location.

The food was fantastic - no complaints, service was ok - could have been speedier - slow to get the bill. The very best part was the entertainment - a guy and his friend who we learned come there often with the blessing of management, made balloon animals and hats for anyone wanting @ no charge to guests or management - they just come and have fun while we have fun - they said it's their way of "giving back". (So we hired them on the spot to do our Christmas party!) What a fantastic time!!! The whole crowd there at all the tables were of good spirit due to this and we'll be back next time we're in town! Thank you ESM!!! What a great place for parents to bring their kids and have a great meal - and no kids whining!!! :)

This was atypical service, food, and experience. Usually East Sides is one of my favourite restaurants. Myself and two of my friends went in for a late dinner (around 8 pm). We asked for a table for 3. They told us we would be served fasted if we sat in the bar area instead of the dining room. So we did. We waited about half an hour and still, no one took our drink orders. Servers kept walking by, serving the people around us but for some reason, no one came to our table. My friend went and asked the hostess if someone would come by and she said someone would be by shortly. Another 20 minutes went by and still, no one. My friend then went and asked the server who was taking care of the table behind us. She said she'd be right with us. Again, no one showed up. After 15 more minutes, I went and found a manager and told him no one had been by. Finally, 10 minutes after that, the server came by. They said there was confusion about our table, however, we were not even given an apology. I ordered the roasted half chicken with french fries. When it came, it was so overdone the skin was extremely tough. It seemed as though they cooked it with the feathers still on. An extremely disappointing visit to one of my favourite restaurants.
ESM has been a favorite of mine since I was little, but slowly I have been less inclined to eat there because of the poor service. My boyfriend and I ordered the pizza which was half price at the time, and we were 'rudely' told we had to purchase a beverage with the meal. So we asked for 1 drink and she brought back 2 (not necessary cause we were sharing the dinner but we let it slide). Food was warmish, so we ate a slice each and took the rest home. Hardly saw our server, and there was no drink refill requests. Receiving/paying the bill took longer than the eating process.
A few weeks later we returned and surprise, had the same server. This time it was the opposite extreme. She brought us our bill two seconds after delivering our food and didn't ask us if we wanted anything else. We didn't see her again before we left.
I might go back, but if the dining room is busy and the bar area is the only option, I'll take my business elsewhere.
We sat out on the patio, which was pretty nice. Service was pretty good. We got lots of salad and bread. My pasta dish was rather small and nothing special but with all that salad and bread (and being $10), it was hard to complain about portion size.
I surprised to see such low scores in the reviews below, the place was packed!
