Originally opened on Rue Fairmount in 2001, Furisme has always had a familial atmosphere. “At times we had people waiting outside due to the small size of our first shop — stars of stage and screen even, but we worked with only a few stylists in order to create a comfortable and familiar atmosphere,” says Marco Brozzese, co-owner and colourist for Furisme. “When we moved from our previous salon, we had about 90% of our clients follow us. We had a feeling it would happen, but it was still a great surprise when it did!”

With experience at the most trend-setting of salons in Montreal and New York, it’s no wonder Marco once had the opportunity to move to Beverly Hills for his work. “I loved Montreal too much to do that, but I think the work we’ve done here speaks for itself," he adds. “It doesn’t matter where you are, style is about openness — we don’t play favourites, because everyone has their own means to be beautiful!”
