The Christian and Missionary Alliance was founded by a Canadian-born pastor and evangelist, A.B. Simpson, who had a passion for the poor and neglected masses at home and abroad. Simpson and Scottish immigrant to Canada, John Salmon, whose similar ministry and passion to the 'least, last and lost,' established an instant lifelong friendship and association. Together they were used by God to give birth to the Christian and Missionary Alliance to take the gospel message to all nations.
