I thought the food was quite tasty. They had such a wide range of Indian dishes and they were all good. Plenty of foods, many items in the buffet selection.
WE HAD 20 PEOPLE DINNER WITH FRIENDS ON LAST WEEK, PLENTY OF FOODS, MANY ITEMS, BUT NO GREAT TASTE . I AM A FOOD LOVER BUT COULD NOT ENJOY . MY WIFE ALSO HAS SAME FEELING. THE GOAT CURRY, KALI DAAL, AND CHIKEN BIRIYANI HAD NO TASTE AND VERY FLAT COOKING, THE PRICE I THINK IS MORE THAN AVERAGE GTA PRICING FOR BUFFETT.
I went to Tandoori flames with my wife and her fiance. The experience was excellent. i think its once of the best East Indian buffet I have ever been to. The food was fresh, the taste was simply amazing and ambiance was great. For a price of 20 - 25$ , its the best value. Also, there is a decent bar and nice choice of beverages.
After a recommendation by a friend, I went to this place as part of a birthday celebration for my friend. I absolutely hated it. The service was horrendous, the waiters took quite a long time to bring us mango shakes. Also, while i was eating, I found a cockroach by my plate which i caught using one of the glasses. When i told the waitress she simply, lifted the glass and juss put it on another table. The webstie lied in regards to the variety of food and the atmosphere. After having found a cockroach and having flies buzz around the place, my guests and I just lost our appetite. As a result, I called the manager to our table and spoke to him and he said the insects were a result of renovatiosns that were going on.. Even though there are renovations going on, the restaurant should have made sure that insects couldnt get in and around the food. Also, the restaurant in general was not clean, there were tears on the chairs, the sideboards were filthy. They were lucky that I didnt call the public health department and report the incident. The only good thing that came out of this, was that I didnt have to pay for this horrible experience.
The service wasn’t the best; in fact I didn’t even think they had much service except for seating us at a table. We had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled. I thought the food however was quite tasty. They had such a wide range of Indian dishes and they were all good. Some may think that they should scrap the pizza and fries but sometimes when you have small children with you who may be picky eaters these foods are ones they lean towards. I have been to Indian buffets that did not even have half the food choices Tandoori flame offers. It may not be as authentic as the Indian restaurants you may find on Gerrard Street for instance but the food is good. I think the price is a bit steep and can add up if you bring the whole family but I would definitely recommend this restaurant
