Great place to eat spicy lamb shashlyk on mini scewers. Lagman that they cook is not what I expected but it could be having a wrong perception of Lagman as a soup. What they served us was not a soup for sure. The place is a bit strange as they expect you to call in advance and book your visit. I would also recommend to clean it a bit.

Silk Road is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The lamb skewers are perfectly tender, moist, and brilliantly spiced. The laghman is delightful. The lamb soup is superb. The service is friendly. A little out of the way, but completely worth visiting.

Although the dining facility and location may not be great, the food is very ditinctive and tasty. In Pakistan there are a lot of people from Kashgar who have settled around Islamabad and we are very familiar with Uighar Cuisine. Northern Pakistan and the Kashgar region of China share a common border and there is a fair bit of interaction among the peoples. For us it was a real treat to enjoy the same type of food here in Toronto.

This is a family run business, not a slick franchise. If unique, authentic, great tasting food is important to you, then this is the place to eat. It's not high class dining, but it is clean. We're repeat customers as I'm sure most of their customers are.
