L’Atelier d’Argentine in the Old Port is unquestionably one of the most popular places in the area. With its chic atmosphere, the restaurant invites you on a culinary journey by tasting traditional Argentinian dishes.
Kevin Pouliot has been the sommelier and maitre d' at L’Atelier d’Argentine since 2014. His job is to ensure that everything is in place so customers will have the best possible dining experience. His daily routine consists of checking with staff that everything is in place, ordering wine and making sure nothing is missing. "When the service starts, I'm on the floor and I check that everything is going well," he says.
Kevin was first trained and apprenticed at Decca77, which belongs to the group of shareholders who own L'Atelier d’Argentine. Later he became a server at L'Atelier d’Argentine.
"I wanted to study as a sommelier, so I left for Europe," says Kevin. During his European adventure, he got a chance to do the prestigious wine route, Route des Grands Crus. The foodie then held the position of sommelier at L'Atelier, taking charge of the wine cellar. When he was asked to be manager, he didn't hesitate to say yes.

Great food, excellent service!
This place is not my typical choice in restaurants, but if you want something upscale that has a good wine selection and are looking to impress, DNA will do that. Food is on the pricer side, but good, you will not complain about it. Their deserts are actually a highlight.

Located in Montreal's Old Port, L'Atelier d'Argentine offers brunches with a flavour of that South American nation. For Mother's Day, we are particularly partial to the "bottomless mimosas" option! It's the perfect way to kick off the day!
