I loved my fish and chips! I have never had fish...

I loved my fish and chips! I have never had fish and chips at a restaurant, because I'm just coming around to the idea of eating fish - but this was good fish and chips. My father enjoyed his wings and ribs, and my brother enjoyed his ribs. My mother enjoyed her steak, however my friend was disgusted with her penne con pollo, and once everyone took a bite, it was agreeable; not so yummy. The pasta was undercooked, the chicken was cooked to no end. The sauce is weird. However, the service was amazing; our waitress got us everything we wanted, and answered all of our questions, and the penne con pollo was promptly taken off the bill. I am not a beef eater however, and most of the menu is beef, so I don't know if I'll take the adventure all the way back down to the south end again.

I eat here a lot, mainly because it's conveniently located near my workplace, but also because it's consistently good quality food. Not great, not bad, but good. This visit was an exception because i found the food to be mediocre. It's a roadhouse-style restaurant with a sports bar theme. There are TVs everywhere, which I find distracting -- but oh well. Ironically I find that their steak, which they hype a bit, is not their strong suit. The cuts are medium-quality and they tend to cook them a little rare for my taste. The use a little too much grease as well. Also, their salads are mediocre. However, there are dishes here that are excellent: their braised ribs and hamburgers for instance. Baked potatoes are good as well. Service was very good, as usual. I'll return, but another meal like this will make me think twice...

The stampeder sandwich is very delicious, but the side salad can be better. They've got lots TV channels around the walls, mostly sports programs, so I guess it's also good for lonely guys.

The meat was average quality, but a bit too burnt...

The meat was average quality, but a bit too burnt for my taste. it's big though so I like that part. The lattice fries were pretty good, much better than their regular fries. Service was very friendly, attentive and quick.
